Graduation season can be such a busy time of year whether it be your own child’s graduation or attending other graduations. If you do have a son/daughter graduating this year make sure that you make their graduation party a relaxing time for you and the graduate to be able to socialize with those close friends and family who are attending. Some ideas for you to make this happen during such a stressful and busy time are:
1. Consider catering:
Depending on the number of guests and how much refrigerator room you have, you might want to consider hiring a caterer for part of the food to help save on some stress and money in some cases.
2.Put someone in charge:
Ask some close friends or family to help you with the meal and refilling food while you and your graduate are able to walk around and greet those that have come to celebrate.
3. Play some background music:
You can either have some light music playing in the background or you can have a dance floor set up with music going to keep your guests entertained.
To involve some of your guests and to make it fun and interactive get/find some baby pictures/middle school pictures and some funny pictures of some of the guests invited and post them on a board – the person that guesses the most wins! If you are having more of a small intimate party you can use the photos as name tags to make it more fun!
Hopefully some of the ideas above will help to make that special day for your graduate enjoyable, special, and relaxing for all of you!
